Event Details
Women especially women of color, in SFL often navigate a fine line between changemaker and caretaker. This session explores how to lead authentically without carrying the full emotional and administrative weight of a community.
As a result of attending this program, attendees will…
- Unpack the invisible labor placed on women professionals and leave with tools to navigate systemic challenges, advocate for themselves, and stay rooted in their purpose without burning out
- Be able to identify and name gendered and racialized patterns of labor and expectation within FSL work, particularly as they impact women of color
- Explore strategies for setting boundaries and protecting their emotional energy while still creating meaningful change in their communities
