Annual Meeting Call for Programs

Welcome to the 2026 Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors Call for Programs

The Annual Meeting is a fantastic opportunity to develop your Core Competencies and learn from your peers in the fraternity/sorority industry about how to advance our profession.

In order to make the learning experience meaningful, it takes members who are willing to share their expertise. We are looking for programs that seek to enhance learning, create dialogue, provide practical knowledge, and fit with the Core Competencies of AFA.

The 2026 Annual Meeting Call for Programs is now open!

The deadline to submit Educational Programs proposals is Friday, May 22, at 11:59 p.m. PT.

Submit a 50th Anniversary Presentation

To help AFA celebrate 50 years, we invite you to submit a 50th Anniversary Presentation. These programs are intended to share the evolution of research, best practices, or approaches from past through present day, while also highlighting opportunities for future growth and continued research.

Participate in the Ignite Showcase Call for Research

We look forward to bringing back the Ignite Research Showcase at the 2026 Annual Meeting! The Ignite Research Showcase provides researcher-practitioners an opportunity to showcase new and in-progress research through rapid-fire 10-minute sessions.

The Call for Research will open soon. To learn more about the Ignite Research Showcase, please visit https://afa1976.org/ignite-showcase/.

Program Proposal Resources

The Educational Programs Committee has created a program submission resource guide to assist you in crafting a strong educational program proposal. The guide provides an overview of the information that will be collected in the proposal form and shares resources and tips you should keep in mind when submitting your proposal. It is recommended that program submitters review this guide, and the resources contained within it, before, during, and when they are ready to submit their proposal.

Educational Program Reviewers

The AFA Annual Meeting Educational Programs Reviewers play an important role for the Association, as they assist in shaping the educational program’s roster for the Annual Meeting. Program reviewers will serve on a team of 3-5 peers and review 25-35 program submissions, providing feedback on each proposal’s alignment with the Core Competencies, learning outcomes, and overall clarity and organization. Reviewers will be assigned to review programs in a core functional area of the fraternity/sorority profession. This micro-volunteer experience will require your time commitment from late May through early July 2026.

The Program Reviewer Interest Form is now open! The deadline to submit your interest in serving as a program reviewer is Friday, May 1 at 11:59 p.m. PT.
