2026 AFA Leadership Elections Results
AFA is excited to announce the results of our 2026 Board elections, and to introduce you to the 2026 AFA Board of Directors. The AFA Board of Directors will officially take leadership at the close of the 2025 Annual Meeting in Las Vegas, Nevada, in December.
Elected Directors
Dr. Kate Butler Denhart
Dr. Kate Butler Denhart (she/her) currently serves as the Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life at the University of Cincinnati. She is an initiate of Chi Omega from Northwestern University and holds a master’s degree from Vanderbilt University and a Doctor of Education degree from The Ohio State University. Kate lives in Cincinnati with her husband Chris and their dog Larkin.
Marilyn Russell
Marilyn Russell, CSAEd (she/her)Â currently serves as the Executive Director of Student Involvement at The University of Texas at Austin. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas and a master’s degree from San Diego State University, and has served her organization, Zeta Tau Alpha, as a national officer since 2007.
Appointed Directors
Devin Walker
Devin Walker (he/him) leads the Department of Fraternity and Sorority Life at the University of Maryland, College Park. Walker has previously served AFA as the Region V Director and on the Essentials Editorial Board. He holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from The Ohio State University and a master’s degree in College Student Personnnel from the University of Dayton, and is a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated.
