2025 AFA Leadership Elections Results
AFA is excited to announce the results of our 2025 Board elections, and to introduce you to the 2025 AFA Board of Directors. The AFA Board of Directors will officially take leadership at the close of the 2024 Annual Meeting in Indianapolis, IN in December.
President
Joshua Welch
Joshua Welch (he/him/his) currently serves as the Director of Greek Life at the University of Georgia. Previously, Joshua has served in a variety of roles at North Carolina State University, Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity, Elon University, and the University of Central Missouri. Joshua is a two-time graduate of Western Carolina University (B.S./M.Ed.), is a doctoral student at the University of Georgia, and is a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. Joshua has actively served on the AFA Board of Directors since 2023. He currently lives in the Athens, GA area with his wife Annie and his twin daughters.
Elected Directors
Dr. Will Frankenberger
Dr. Will Frankenberger (he/him/his) currently serves as the Chief Learning Officer for Delta Zeta Sorority. He has previously served Delta Zeta for over 10 years as their Chief Safety Officer and Director of Risk Prevention. Dr. Frankenberger is a graduate of Millikin University (B.S.) (where he joined Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity), Ball State University (M.A.), and Kansas State University (Ph.D.). He currently lives in Chicago with his husband Brandon.
Dra. Viancca Williams
Dra. Viancca Williams (she/her/ella) currently serves as the Senior Director for Leadership and Education at Beta Theta Pi Fraternity. Previously, Dra. Williams has served in a variety of roles at the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors, the University of Central Florida, and the University of South Florida. Dra. Williams is a graduate of The University of Tampa (B.A.), a two-time graduate of the University of South Florida (M.Ed./Ph.D.), and a member of Alpha Chi Omega. Originally from Santurce, Puerto Rico, she currently lives in the Orlando, FL area with her husband Rorik and son RJ.

Ry Beck
Ry Beck (he/him/his) currently serves as the Assistant Executive Director of Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity and brings more than fifteen years experience with education-based nonprofits. Ry is a graduate from the University of North Texas (B.A.) (where he joined Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity), Ball State University (M.A.), and will complete his MBA from Butler University in May 2025. Ry currently lives in Indianapolis, IN with his wife, Liz, and you will likely find him enjoying a concert when he’s away from the office.
