Showing support for both the work of the fraternity/sorority profession and the continued growth of the AFA Foundation, the AFA Foundation is proud to announce that Alpha Gamma Delta has committed $25,000 to ‘Elevate the Standard’ – focused yearly on a donation match of $5,000 for first-time AFA Foundation donors during the AFA Foundation’s annual 1,976 Minutes of Giving.
“Alpha Gamma Delta is thrilled to support the AFA Foundation because its impact reaches every corner of the fraternal experience — developing leaders, advancing education and strengthening our communities for the future,” said Katie J. Abernathy, Alpha Gamma Delta executive director. “We believe deeply in the power of this work and are proud to help fuel it through our 1,976 Minutes of Giving match for new AFA Foundation donors for the next 5 years.”
Held yearly to commemorate the Association’s founding, the AFA Foundation’s 1,976 Minutes of Giving celebrates the work of the fraternity/sorority profession, and serves as a way for our donors to give towards a stronger professional community. Since the inaugural ‘Day of Giving’ in 2018, 1,976 Minutes of Giving has raised over $300,000 in support of the fraternity/sorority profession – creating stronger, better resourced fraternity and sorority professionals that create meaningful pathways for student success.
