The Nominations and Elections Committee (NEC) and the 2022 board of directors are pleased to announce the 2023 AFA Leadership Election Slate. This slate is the product of weeks of diligent work by members of the NEC. The following is a brief outline of the process that resulted in the 2023 AFA Leadership Election Slate:
- Following the acceptance of nominations, each candidate’s application was individually reviewed and scored by every NEC member, using a framework of guiding questions and a scoring rubric.
- NEC members deliberated and selected candidates for further review during a conference call.
- Candidates were notified of their status. Video conference interviews were scheduled (where applicable).
- Groups of four or more NEC members conducted video conference interviews with finalists. Each video conference interview was recorded and made available to individual NEC members for their review
- Video conference interviews were individually reviewed and scored by every NEC member, using a framework of guiding questions and a scoring rubric.
- NEC members deliberated and selected candidates to be slated during a conference call.
- Candidates were notified of their status.
- Slate is announced to the membership.
