Annual Meeting Exchange

What is the Exchange?

The purpose of The Exchange is to develop collaborative relationships between (inter)national sororities/fraternities and institutions that lead to sustained conversations throughout the year and facilitate the sharing of ideas and issues that will assist in providing a constructive experience for undergraduate development.

How will the 2023 Exchange be facilitated?

The 2023 AFA Exchange will facilitate interactions between interfraternal and institutional partners by providing space in the Exchange Lounge during the Annual Meeting for 30-, 45-, or 60-minute meetings. The Exchange will be open during the following dates and times: 

• Wednesday, November 29 from 5:30 pm to 7 pm
• Thursday, November 30 from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm
• Friday, December 1 from 8:30 pm to 11:30 am

When interfraternal and institutional partners sign up to participate in The Exchange, they will receive a listing and contact of those who have opted to participate. Upon receiving the listing, they have the opportunity to do outreach to those they wish to meet with and schedule meetings at times that are mutually convenient when The Exchange Lounge is open. This listing will be made available to all participating the week of November 6. AFA will provide tools to help facilitate this conversation and reserve space in The Exchange Lounge.

To participate in this year’s Exchange, fill out this form no later than Friday, November 3. Please note: the person who signs up for the in-person portion of The Exchange must also be registered for the AFA Annual Meeting.

Unable to attend this year’s Annual Meeting? 

Interfraternal Partners/(Inter)National Organizations not attending the in-person Annual Meeting will have the opportunity to submit a 5-10 minute update video for institutional partners to view in the Whova app. These videos should focus on reviewing organizational updates, new initiatives, growth and expansion plans, who to contact for what needs, and/or upcoming opportunities for institutional partners to be aware of. Fill out the above form to confirm you’d like to participate in this experience.
