AFA Communities
The Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors is committed to supporting our professionals through offering spaces for community and professional growth. Whether that community is centered around your professional role, the identities you hold, the region in which you live, or a volunteer committee, AFA provides spaces for our members to connect about their shared experiences.
Regions
AFA has five regions throughout North America, each with its own volunteer leadership and engagement team. Getting involved with AFA’s regions will help you connect with other professionals in your area through newsletters, updates, specific professional development opportunities, networking, and more!
Community Collectives
AFA supports four Community Collectives for its members to come together, support, and amplify professionals and their allies:
- The Latinx/a/o Professionals Community Collective
- The Professionals across the Black Diaspora Community Collective
- The Solo Professional Operations Community Collective
- The Women Working with Men’s Fraternities Community Collective
Communities of Practice
New for the 2025-26 membership year, AFA supports three Communities of Practice designed to center salient professional functions and responsibilities within the fraternity/sorority advising field:
- The Conduct & Accountability Community of Practice
- The Education & Programming Community of Practice
- The FSL Directors Community of Practice
